The ideal applicant will be proficient in providing prompt, courteous and efficient customer service. The Financial Services Representative's primary role is to consistently sell Bank services and products, while also making qualified referrals to Bank partners. They will partner with senior branch sales staff to accomplish this role. Their secondary role will be to provide support in areas as needed in the branch, including but not limited to teller functions. 1-2 years previous banking sales experience.

Provides outstanding customer service. Bank of Marin requires a minimum of 6 months customer service and cash handling experience. Prior Sales experience a plus. Computer literacy required.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities Includes the following, and other duties may be assigned:
Interviews loan applicants, and collects, and analyzes financial and related data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan request.
Ascertains feasibility of the construction project including marketability of the completed project for commercial residential, subdivision loans, commercial income property, land loans and spec. residential property.
Matches features and benefits of existing bank products and services to client needs.
Establishes and negotiates, where necessary, terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method and schedule, and collateral requirements.
Collects and analyzes information that reflects the current creditworthiness of customers and the current merits of extending loans. May obtain information through direct inspection of the applicant's business and/or collateral, review of interim financial reports, personal interview, and other means.
Interacts with title companies and insurance companies to assure that the Banks position is protected by appropriate title insurance and endorsements and adequate insurance protection during course of construction and upon completion.
Reviews construction inspections and, with the assistance of the construction loan administrator, monitors draw requests to insure that sufficient money remains to complete the project.
Works with general contractors to help assure that the project is moving smoothly and that subcontractors are being paid.
Advises a customer, where possible, concerning business management and financial matters.
Develops new business by contacting prospects and customers; cross-sells bank services.
Participates in community affairs to increase the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
Makes site visits and participates in joint calls with senior officers and others.
Prepares and completes in a timely manner all reports necessary to tract project status and compliance with bank guidelines.
* As needed, identifies problem credits and helps to collect or restructure the credit to protect bank and borrowers asset.
Qualified candidates should have a bachelors degree in business administration or finance or related banking experience; plus 5 to 7 years of progressively increasing responsible construction lending experience. Loan experience must include subdivisions, commercial property as well as single family dwellings.

The Branch Manger is responsible for overall branch operations. This person will provide quality customer service by managing a service staff, analyzing branch activity, and ensuring that customer issues are handled properly. They will also be responsible for promoting sales referrals while complying with Bank policies and procedures.
The Branch Manager is responsible for sales, which include loans and deposits to new clients and current customers, and will also act as a coach to staff providing, ongoing development relating to technical and product knowledge, referrals and customer retention.
Active community involvement and knowledge of bank products required. Must have a minimum of 5 years of banking sales and management experience, plus excellent communication skills.
