The Marin Human Race is a very popular event coordinated by Marin Nexus (now The Center for Volunteer and NonProfit Leadership of Marin) on behalf of our community. The event allows any and all of the hundreds of Marin County nonprofits and community groups to raise funds and awareness for their organizations in the spirit of bringing the community together. Participants help raise pledge dollars and walk or run a looping course around the Marin Center Fairgrounds, the Lagoon, and the surrounding neighborhood. The "Racers" then join the Finish Line Fair where there are lots of booths, entertainment and fun for the whole family. Participants include individuals, nonprofit groups, businesses and schools, each raising money for a nonprofit in Marin County. Each year, the Bank of Marin Team joins the fundraising efforts and raises pledge dollars for several Marin nonprofits as selected by the employee participants.
