Bank of Marin sponsors Marin/Scapes, an annual art exhibit and sale that benefits Buckelew Programs, a private non-profit agency serving North Bay adults with mental illnesses.
For an entire month of promotion, a sampling of each artist's work is exhibited at the Bank of Marin, Corte Madera branch for community enjoyment. This portion of the exhibit culminates with an Artists' Reception and Preview Party hosted by Bank of Marin. Following the Artists' Reception, the Marin/Scapes exhibit moves to the Escalle Winery in Larkspur, where it re-opens with The Marin/Scapes Gala and remains open to the public for the July 4th weekend Please see our Calendar of Events for exact dates and times.
Marin/Scapes features Marin landscape art by local artists. In addition to sale of the artwork, income from the event is generated through sponsorship donations, event admissions and poster sales. The annual commemorative poster, featuring a Marin landscape painting, is sold at the preview party and elsewhere throughout the county.
Founded in 1970, Buckelew Programs, located on Mission Avenue in San Rafael, delivers 24-hour service for Marinites with mental illness. Clients are supported through a variety of residential, assisted independent living, and day services programs.
