| Bank of Marin sponsors Spirit of Color, an annual art exhibit and sale celebrating the work of Sonoma County artists.
The annual Spirit of Color exhibit and sale features the works of more than 30 artists in the Petaluma Arts Association. The exhibit begins at Bank of Marin's Petaluma-Marina branch, which is located at 799 Baywood Drive. After a month, the exhibit moves to the Petaluma Visitor's Center for the Champagne Artists' Reception, where guests have an opportunity to meet the artists, purchase art, enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres and music, and support the community. Tickets for the reception are $25 per person. Commemorative posters will also be for sale for the duration of the exhibit. Please see our Calendar of Events for exact dates and times.
For more information or to purchase tickets please call 707-765-8488.
Proceeds from the sale of art benefit the Petaluma Arts Association's youth art programs and the Petaluma People Services Center.
The Spirit of Color is sponsored by Bank of Marin, Petaluma Arts Association, Petaluma Arts Council, and Petaluma People Services Center.
Petaluma People Services Center (PPSC) is an organization benefiting low-income Petaluma and southern Sonoma County residents. The organization provides a wide range of services including individual and family counseling, employment training and housing assistance. It also addresses senior concerns and provides a paratransit program for transportation needs of seniors and the disabled. The focus of all these services is to promote independence, self reliance and self esteem for its clients.
The Petaluma Arts Association (PAA) promotes art in the community by creating program and exhibition opportunities for artists and by developing art programs in the schools. It encourages beginners and stimulates experienced artists through exhibits, field trips, workshops and demonstrations. The PAA also provides classroom art presentations and financial assistance for special art projects at Petaluma schools. A PAA scholarship is awarded each year to a student at Santa Rosa Junior College, and a scholarship and cash awards are offered to senior art students attending Petaluma high schools.
