Bank of Marin Announces Recipients of Alameda Grant Program
Provides funding to ten local non-profit organizations
NOVATO, CA – (December 14, 2015) – Bank of Marin today announced the ten recipients of its 2015 Alameda Grant Program. Bank of Marin awarded a total of $10,000 to be distributed among ten local organizations, including:
- Alameda Civic Ballet
- Alameda Development Corporation
- Alameda Friends of the Parks
- Alameda Museum
- Alameda Music Project
- Alameda Youth Basketball
- Altarena Playhouse
- City of Alameda Babe Ruth League
- Encinal Sailing Foundation
- League of Women Voters
“Alameda is fortunate to have so many excellent non-profits that sustain the community and make it a vibrant place to live and work,” said Russell A. Colombo, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are proud to support the important work of these valuable organizations.”
More than 30 non-profit organizations submitted proposals that were reviewed by members of Bank of Marin’s Alameda Advisory Board. To be eligible, non-profits were required to be a 501(c)(3) organization with their main office located in the City of Alameda.
Consistently ranked one of the “Top Corporate Philanthropists” by the San Francisco Business Times, Bank of Marin gives back more than one percent of pre-tax profit to local organizations. Bank employees donate almost 10,000 hours to the community annually and sit on more than 60 Boards of Directors of non-profit organizations across the five counties the Bank serves.
