Bank of Marin Honored with Corporate Philanthropy Award
NOVATO, CA – (March 25, 2015) – On Wednesday, March 25, Bank of Marin was honored for the second year as one of twenty-two North Bay businesses and organizations selected for the North Bay Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Awards.
The award was first instituted in 2014 and recognizes organizations that contribute significantly to the betterment of the communities where they do business. Bank of Marin was nominated in the101–500 employee category along with seven other North Bay companies. Three Bank of Marin customers – Ghilotti Construction Company, W. Bradley Electric and Top Speed Data Communications were also award recipients.
Bank of Marin has given more than 1% of pre-tax profit to charity for over a decade. The Bank’s financial contributions to non-profits are complemented by employees volunteering close to 10,000 hours during the course of the year. Officers of the Bank also serve on 70 non-profit boards across five counties including Marin, Napa, Sonoma, San Francisco and Alameda.
