Lending a Hand Comes Easy to Lynn Zamora

Senior Vice President, team leader, floral designer, fundraiser, community champion. These are just some of the titles Lynn Zamora has held for more than 13 years at Bank of Marin.

In her current role as Operations Manager, Lynn oversees a team of more than 40 people who ensure all Bank of Marin’s customer transactions run smoothly, day-in and day-out. From processing wire transfers and ACH transactions, to managing the deposit and loan payment system, Lynn’s team has been instrumental in maintaining seamless operations at the Bank. One thing she is especially proud of is the proactive disaster planning the Bank has invested in to keep operations fully functional and avoid service interruptions during recent wildfires and power outages.

“The people I work with have an incredible can-do attitude to get things done, even in challenging circumstances,” says Lynn. “We share a sense of purpose and are here for a reason: to serve our customers.”

Lynn has brought the same sense of purpose to her contributions as a fundraiser and community champion. With Lynn at the helm, Bank of Marin’s headquarters in Novato has become a hub for fundraising to help local families in need at the holidays. Over the years, they have raised more than $40,000 from hosting Taco Tuesdays, weekly “soup days” and holiday cakewalks, with funds being distributed across the Bay Area. “Buying a cup of soup can do a lot,” says Lynn. “In addition to feeling a sense of accomplishment for giving back, our team has had fun making and selling food together – it’s a win, win.”

Lynn has also brought her creative passion for floral designing to the Bank. In addition to sharing her knowledge with her colleagues including raffling classes for charity, Lynn has created the sought-after arrangements for the Bank’s signature annual Spirit of Marin event. “I have been fortunate to work for a company that values my interests and inspires me to bring all of myself to my job.”

As Lynn contemplates retirement later this year, she reflects on a successful career with some advice for others: “When you are asked to do something, just say yes and figure out how to get it done. If it is the right thing to do, just do it.”
