Bank of Marin continues to execute its organic growth strategy across its Bay Area footprint with personnel moves in both Commercial Banking and Retail Banking.

Joining the Commercial Banking team are Sean McDonald, Vice President, Relationship Manager, Santa Rosa; Bahar Ozgur, Vice President, Relationship Manager, Marin; and Ricardo Villagomez, Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Napa.

In Retail Banking, David Short, formerly Branch Manager in Novato, has been named Regional Manager, Sonoma County. Danielle Phillips, formerly Branch Manager in Sausalito, is now Branch Manager, Downtown San Rafael, and Tamara Ressler is now Branch Manager of the Bank’s two Novato branches.

“We are very pleased to announce this series of strategic personnel moves,” said Jim Kimball, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer.  “We are able to make these moves thanks in large part to our continued successful performance, which reflects the outstanding value of our franchise and allows us to both attract and grow top talent.”

The Bank’s new hires in Commercial Banking bring a wealth of experience in managing and growing customer relationships, while also managing risk, a hallmark of the Bank’s mission.

Sean McDonald has more than 13 years of experience in relationship-focused commercial banking. He holds a BS in Finance from Sonoma State University.

Bahar Ozgur has worked in the financial industry in the North Bay for more than 10 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hunter College in New York City and her MBA from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, where she majored in finance.

Ricardo Villagomez has almost 15 years of banking experience with several institutions across the Bay Area, most recently in commercial banking, with a background in wine-related lending. He graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
